Windermere Quays Marina is Windermere’s premier marina in terms of its lakeside location and its extensive facilities.
When making the choice of which marina to situate your boat on Windermere look carefully at the location and facilities that are on offer at Windermere Quays Marina.
When choosing a Marina on Lake Windermere, location is the key, and, unlike some of the other marinas located on Windermere we offer stunning lake views framed by the majestic Lakeland fells.
Our facilities at Windermere Quays are some of the best on offer from any marina found on Lake Windermere. When visiting the marina at Windermere you’re greeted with a full range of facilities including new and used boat sales, full maintenance and 24 hour security.
Low Wood Bay Marina
The Low Wood Bay Marina provides Lake Windermere with an exceptional boating facility. As well as its enviable location with spectacular views of the Langdale Pikes, the marina also benefits from the diversity of Low Wood Hotels’ restaurants, bars, leisure complex watersports and activity centre.
About the Marina and available facilities
The Marina incorporates 40 water berths with electric and water supply, plus 70 hardstanding storage spaces for “trailer sailors”, speedboats etc as well as 29 garage facilities. There are various storage types available, which run from 1st April to the 31st March. Please note that berths on the water include compulsory dry land storage over the Winter period (cradles must be supplied).
Our members are entitled to discounted leisure club membership plus discounts on accommodation and meals taken in any of the six English Lakes’ properties. The three lakeshore hotels all have jetties and mooring facilities that members may use free of charge. The Low Wood Hotel can also provide a chef and personal butler to cook and serve food on the boats. Alternatively the hotel can also deliver meals to the boats, including breakfast, lunch and dinner and provide a range of hampers.
Moorings and hard-standings
Our sheltered moorings and hard-standings are very popular as a base for exploring the beauty of the local area. Bowness and neighbouring Belle Isle are within fairly easy reach, but some people will head all the way to Ambleside. As an added bonus, our location makes the Lake incredibly accessible, as The Swan is situated just 15 minutes away from Junction 36 of the M6.
Our clubhouse and changing rooms have a shower block and toilet facilities. We’re also able to offer private parking.
