Kinsale Bookshop is a family-owned general bookshop where you will experience the atmosphere or a traditional bookshop in an almost-bygone era. Kinsale Bookshop was set up early in 1998 and has become a favorite destination for lovers of new books in print. It is the general bookshop of choice for both the Kinsale community and Kinsale’s many visitors, whether from other parts of Ireland/the UK or overseas.

Aunty Nellies Sweet shop specializes in local Irish Artisan confectionary supporting local sweet producers & chocolatiers throughout the country. We are delighted to work with some of Irelands long serving producers such as Urney Chocolates, Skelligs Chocolates, Wicklow Fine Foods, Mellas Fudge, Jelly Bean Factory, Crillys Confectionery, Rose Confectionery, Rolys Fudge in Kinsale & DP Connollys to name just a few. Oceanaddicts is owned and operated by Graham and Anne Ferguson. A husband and wife team Graham and Anne are active divers and members of the National Sub Aqua Club. Both Graham and Anne are CMAS Moniteur ** dive instructors. They have been diving in Ireland and abroad for over 18 years. They love the scuba diving in Ireland especially off the South and South West coast because of the unique marine eco system created by the Gulf Stream.
Graham and Anne are especially proud of the diving in Ireland and of their own part of it along the Cork Coast. They enjoy showing it off to their guests. They believe that the coastline of the South and South West Ireland is one of the most beautiful in the world and is largely unexplored especially under the water.

Celestine McCoy is a Kinsale based milliner, her shop Hattitude may be found in the beautiful fishing village of Kinsale. Celestine will create any bespoke hat or fascinator, feel free to browse through Hattitude to find beautiful hats, fascinators, pashminas, hand made bridal headwear adorned with pearls and crystals, fabulous holy communion headwear and bracelets for your little angels, fabulous hand bags, and handmade jewellery to match all your bridal and wedding outfits.

It is no accident that Waterford Master-Cutter, Gerry Daly, chose the town of Kinsale, Irelands oldest town, to set up his Crystal Venture. Gerry longed to revive the formerly extinct method of Deep-Cutting.

Long ago in Ireland, way before mass production swallowed up the small one man Crystal Craft Shops, every single piece was cut with pride on high angled wheels. This method was extremely tedious and painstakingly slow, but resulted in the most brilliant reflective sparkle and sharp, crisp feel.

Armed only with a vision and a dream, in 1992 Gerry left Waterford and set off in search of a suitable location to fulfil his dream. When Gerry first entered Irelands Oldest Town, Kinsale, he knew immediately that the search was over. This fascinating, quaint, old world seaport with its narrow little streets and spectacular coastal scenery was the perfect setting for Gerry's project.

giles norman lives in kinsale, co.cork with his wife and business partner catherine and their children, jack, ali and louis. born in 1961 to belgian and english parents giles has lived in kinsale since 1976.

Our mini-buses can carry up to eight people and are ideal for special nights out, for golfing groups exploring the many courses that West Cork has to offer, or for anyone with a lot of extra luggage.

The weekends are, of course, the busiest time so booking in advance is recommended, especially if you need to get to the airport or train station.
