You can explore the sheltered scenic Salcombe waters in your own self-drive hire boat. We supply 12-16ft fibreglass boats with steering wheels. Lifejackets, (dog lifejackets), a chart of the estuary and full instructions are all supplied to make your hire as easy and enjoyable as possible.

No visit to Salcombe would be complete without a visit to the immensely interesting Salcombe Maritime and Local History Museum. The exhibitions change annually to keep regular visitors coming back again and again. This museum will take you down memory lane to the days of the smugglers, ship builders and the fast fruit schooners of the 19th century. The children will love the hands-on displays, there are ship models, boatyard models, old photographs, paintings and shipwreck artifacts.
