Seaways Farm Holiday Home
| Accommodation |
Part of the Duchy of Cornwall since 1337, the Isles of Scilly have been home to man since the Neolithic times. These days only five of the 200 islands and rocky outcrops of the archipelago are inhabited - the remainder providing sanctuary for many rare and interesting birds.
St. Mary's is the perfect holiday centre for all, offering a wide variety of attractions as well as providing an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding islands using the daily launch service.
With its pubs, restaurants and shops, St. Mary's itself has plenty of interest for everyone, while those with a feeling for the past will find much to occupy their thoughts. A walk around the island will highlight the drama of the Scillonian scenery while on the quieter side a visit to the bulb fields is always worth while. Children especially will enjoy the safe bathing and fine sandy beaches. For the more active, there is sailing, fishing, windsurfing, golf, tennis, squash, diving and snorkelling. |

St. Martin’s on the Isle
| Accommodation, Bars & Inns, Restaurants |
Our landlord, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, gave permission for St. Martin's on the Isle to be built in 1987 and the hotel was subsequently opened in May 1989. As you can imagine, building on such an environmentally sensorial island surrounded by a marine park required a great deal of sensitivity both in the choice of location and the choice of materials. The resulting hotel, nestling into the hillside and built to resemble a cluster of granite cottages, has received much acclaim and is now accepted as a part of the landscape. The hotel, the only one on the island of St. Martin's, faces west overlooking mature gardens, it's own quay, white sandy beaches and clear blue sea, with uninhabited islands as a backdrop framed by magnificent sunsets in the evening.
