Glasson Dock Information

We are located on the north west coast of England, near the historic city of Lancaster and within the beautiful surroundings of Morecambe Bay. Glasson Dock is a useful stopping-off point for yachts on their way from the South Coast to Scotland or vice versa. Within easy reach of the Isle of Man and Ireland, it makes an excellent base for exploring the beautiful countryside of the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The Basin, which forms the beginning of Lancaster Canal, is entered via a lock from the River Lune. It is in a rural setting but within easy reach of many pubs and restaurants

When you update your info, pleae could you consider including the the area is popular with bird watchers, cyclists, horse-riders and walkers. The old railway line into Lancaster opens up opportunities for car-free access along the banks of the River Lune into the historic City of lancaster and up the Lune Valley and directly to sea at Morecambe Bay with it's beautiful views across to the lakeland fells.
(Good website - thankyou.
