The historic town of Fowey (pronounce Foy), situated on the south coast of Cornwall is both a tourist trap and a commercial seaport. A designated ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ this magnificent natural harbour attracts up to 7000 visiting yachts per year as well as several cruise liners. It is not surprising Fowey attracts so many visitors as it truly is a jewel in the British coastal crown.
What could be more romantic that a gentle stroll along the superb esplanade of a barmy summer evening or a spectacular hike along the surrounding cliffs. What could be more fun than exploring the local coastline and other villages by water taxi (see blue pages) or more satisfying than gorging yourself on delicious freshly caught sea food.
The village’s vibrant atmosphere, superb accommodation and wonderful hospitality has made it a magnet for the rich and famous, who come to relax and soak up the storybook like atmosphere and indulge themselves in world class maritime opportunities.
Fowey, the village where the magic of Cornwall truly comes to life.
