Conwy Attractions

The Smallest House in Britain is situated in a beautiful position on the quayside in Conwy. North Wales. This red painted one up one down measures only 1.8m wide. Built as a fisherman's cottage, the last person to live in the cottage, Robert Jones was 6' 3" tall.

Conwy Castle is located in the medieval walled town of Conwy in North Wales and is open to the public as a visitor attraction throughout the year. The castle is almost unique in the fact that the old town walls remain almost entirely intact and can still be walked on today. Considering the military action it has seen over the years the castle remains in a remarkably good state of repair.

Access to the castle is through the visitor centre located opposite the castle and can be reached either via the castle car park or the main road through the town.

The castle consists of a large curtain wall built on a natural rock formation lending it natural height above the town. The wall consists of eight circular towers with four smaller towers providing further height.

Inside the castle the old buildings are almost completely gone however there is enough remaining that a picture of what life inside Conwy Castle was once like can still be gained.
