The Beach House bed and breakfast Portland Dorset backs onto Chesil Beach which stretches 18 miles as far as West Bay. Chesil Beach offers amazing sunsets for photography enthusiasts or for people who simply want to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.
The Beach House was built in the Victorian early 1800's and offers 6 en-suite rooms all with colour tv and tea/coffee facilites. We also have a licensed bar serving a range of drinks from alcohol to soft drinks and bar snacks.
We also have a patio area with a private garden and provide ample parking for residents.
We are near to the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, and are in an ideal position for Divers, Fisherman and other Watersports enthusiasts.

Richard Linford sits on the MCA working groups that developed the codes from 1993 to date. He and Frank Hamer also lecture on the University of Plymouth's well respected Small Craft Suveying course.

L'n'O's is a charming and comfortable Portland bistro, situated in a convenient location in Weston. It has been owned and run by Ozzie & Lin since 2005, a husband-and-wife team with more than 20 years of catering experience. The kitchen is Ozzie's domain. He has his own philosophy of food and loves everything to do with food preparation, sourcing the best seasonal produce from local producers and suppliers, meat from the local butcher and personally visiting the fishmonger on a daily basis. These ingredients provide the foundation for Ozzie's repertoire of dishes that are well prepared, innovatively cooked and well presented.

The menu comprises a range of traditional and contemporary dishes from home and abroad, all regularly changed with daily 'specials'. All are served with ample vegetable accompaniments. With very few exceptions, all dishes are homemade and prepared on the premises as well as being cooked to order.
There is a well-chosen and competitively priced wine list.

Working on all types of craft including yachts, lifeboats, Fishing vessels, passenger vessels and a wide range of m.o.d. craft. Working to a high standard. Meeting with Llyods and Mca standards where required.
Subsequently have continued in the trade of mainly extensive boat repairs for a further 19 yrs. Covering just about all aspects of yacht and boat repair work, in and around south east Cornwall and west Devon.
My work has been mainly concentrated on traditional wooden craft but does expand through to contemporary construction methods and applications.

There is a 10 minute coastal walk from The Bunker to the new Sailing Academy and it can be reached by car in 5 minutes. The cliffs at Portland are very popular for potholers and climbers.
