Bembridge Powerboat Training was formed in 2004 with the aim of offering individual service to customers unable to attend fixed date courses.

Open 7 days a week with RYA approval for the complete range of powerboat courses from Level 1 through to Advanced and PWC plus the shore based VHF/DSC and First Aid all available on dates and times that you the customer select.

Our training boats have seating for all candidates and are equipped with up to date electronics to ensure you not only enjoy the experience but also gain the most from it.

THE COMMODORE AND FLAG OFFICERS OF BEMBRIDGE SAILING CLUB INVITE YOU TO VISIT THEIR CLUBHOUSE.
Founded in 1886, Bembridge Sailing Club has grown steadily over the years and now has some 1,300 members. It is designated as a Royal Yachting Association training centre, with the Club Secretary as the Chief Instructor, and also a Volvo Champion Club. Numerous courses are held throughout the year covering many other aspects of sailing including safety and power boats, Race Officer, Radio & basic First Aid. A new building was opened in 2002 which has transformed the on-shore facilities and the Club now has an excellent and spacious Dining Room, which comfortably seats 100, new kitchens, showers and changing rooms as well as a separate multi-purpose room for the cadets. The Club has been licensed for Civil Marriages since 2005 and hosts a number of non-member events throughout the year. The emphasis at the Club is on a happy family atmosphere where all ages can partake in all facets of seafaring activities, as well as the enjoying the excellent position and style of the renovated clubhouse.

WHAT IS AVAILABLE? Not only are we able to provide you with excellent catering from our dedicated contract caterers 'All About Catering' (www.allaboutcatering.co.uk) in unique surroundings, but we can also offer sailing visitors the opportunity to arrive on an evening tide, race the following day in some of the best waters around the south coast, dine at the Club that evening and race home the following day. For Motor Cruisers we can offer a range of challenging competitions. Alternatively, just come for Dinner; or if you only have one tide to play with, why not come for lunch? CATERING FOR VISITING YACHTSMEN:
Our Dining Room enjoys stunning panoramic views over the harbour and beyond. From here you are perfectly placed to soak up the maritime atmosphere, whilst enjoying one of our Chef's first-class menus making best use of local Island produce available. Our 'winter' catering hours (through to end of March '09) are currently: Saturday and Sunday lunches - 12:00 to 2:30pm and Friday and Saturday evenings – 7:00 to 9:30pm. Our Bar is also open during these times, as well as Thursday and Friday lunch time.

NON-MEMBER / NON-SAILING EVENTS:
Subject to our licensing conditions, we are happy to accommodate private parties, corporate training days, charity events, civil weddings and wedding receptions whenever the Club is not in use for sailing-related or member activities. We do a good, varied lunch and snack menu ranging from all day breakfasts, sandwiches and baguettes, jacket potatoes and Ploughmans. Lunches are served with chips and salad. We also do a daily homemade specials board.

At Attrills we provide a wide range of boatyard services for boat owners. From basic repairs and storage to specialist processes such as epoxy coating, boat modernisation and the renovation of old and damaged vessels.
For salvage operations we have our own purpose-built craft as well as the expertise to go with it and we provide sound and secure boat storage and moorings for our customers.

Although an old and traditional company in many ways, we constantly add new facilities to improve the boatyard services we offer. A good example of this is the new climate controlled building used to apply special sprays and processes to boats in temperature and humidity stable conditions, no matter what the weather on the outside.

We are a family run business on the Isle of Wight which was set up in Ryde in1987 selling just photographic equipment. In 1990 we expanded into selling Hifi and also opened up our Newport shop. We have enjoyed supping the island for over 20 years and pride our self with giving a good and friendly service. Our staff are all very knowledgeable and helpful.

Menai Marine build a range of Ribs, sports and fishing boats with hulls designed for sea keeping comfort and security.
Our rib range are second to none and built to last, GRP structural chassis, moulded hulls and decks mean that with a Menai Rib you know your hull interior is not degrading from the first time you put it in the water.

Menai also build the Sea Ranger Rigid tubed boat. Extremely stylish and purpose full. It is a positive buoyancy boat that is equal to any rib, but the solid tubes do not puncture, and contain storage hatches. The benefits to this boat are numerous and we have yet to find a down side.
Menai Marine are also builders of modern fishing and sports boats. Continuously developing but all in keeping with the same philosophy, 4x4’s for the sea. With comfort and style.

Subsequently have continued in the trade of mainly extensive boat repairs for a further 19 yrs. Covering just about all aspects of yacht and boat repair work, in and around south east Cornwall and west Devon.
My work has been mainly concentrated on traditional wooden craft but does expand through to contemporary construction methods and applications.

Alexis first worked with Andrew Palmer (the joint owner of Priory Bay and founder of The New Covent Garden Soup Company) when the hotel opened 10 years ago.
