We are a small family run business dedicated to bringing excellent quality fair trade gifts and furniture to you. We are situated in ST Johns Street, Keswick, in the heart of the lake district

Derwent Lodge is a hotel that provides a luxurious base for your holiday whilst at the same time maintaining an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

Derwent Lodge Hotel is a traditional Georgian Manor House, built in 1780 and set in 1.7 acres of grounds in the picture postcard village of Portinscale. It is a mere minutes walk from the shores of Derwentwater and just over 1 mile from the market town of Keswick.

Purchased by the present owners in September 2005, the property has undergone total refurbishment both externally and internally and now offers 21st century facilities within the original stone building.

There are eight beautifully appointed rooms, three of which offer double bed accommodation – one being a grand four poster bed – and both bath and shower en-suite facilities as well as unsurpassed lake views from comfortable chairs.Our other five rooms can provide either double or twin beds and have en-suite shower rooms.

For guests, we offer a table d’hote menu which changes daily, utilising fresh local produce wherever possible, and there is all-day availability of bar meals and snacks in our lounge bar.
To complement our home cooking, we offer a carefully chosen range of excellent wines to suit any palate.

Welcome to The Farmers Arms, Portincale. Sharon and Ben invite you to visit us. We offer great homemade food and a great choice of traditional beers brewed locally. we are located in the wonderfull village of portinscale which is positioned perfectly for you to explore the lake district.
Ben & Sharon returned back to Keswick in June 2010 to take over The Farmers Arms.
"our main aim was to give the village there pub back." says Ben. "this was lost when Jim left in 2004". The pub now offers a quiz night every sunday, live music on saturdays and great party nights like the Halloween party which was enjoyed by over a hundred people.

Keswick Adventure Centre (A founder member of the Lakes Adventure Partnership) has been established in order to provide excellent, affordable outdoor adventure activities for all visitors to our stunning Lake District National Park. We operate in and around the beautiful Borrowdale and Newlands valleys and utilise the fantastic Via Ferrata at Honister Slate Mine.

We are registered with the Adventure Activities Licensing Service (Formerly AALA) for specified activities under the following headings:
Climbing, Trekking and Watersports.

Our range of organic cakes, breads and slices are second to none, and for those of you who enjoy the more 'decadent' dessert, we always have something to delight!
We are fortunate to be situated in one of the most beautiful areas in the whole of England - the Lake District. The café, in the buzzing town centre of Keswick, is surrounded by glorious mountains, lakes and rivers. The front looks out onto the mighty Skiddaw, one of Englands highest mountains, and the smaller, but equally impressive Latrigg.

It is free to enter ‘The Puzzling Place’, as at the top of the stairs is our shop which is stuffed with puzzles, gadgets and curiosities and is guaranteed to have something to amuse, entertain or puzzle you. At the far end of the shop is our ‘Puzzle Area’ which again, is free to enter. Here you can give your brain a work out trying to solve the puzzles and brain teasers which are set out for your entertainment and frustration!
Although the shop and ‘Puzzle Area’ are definitely worth a trip on their own, it’s the main attraction where the boundary between illusion and reality starts to blur.

The Puzzling Place’s ‘World of Illusion’ takes the theme of Illusion and runs with it. It is home to our ‘Anti-gravity Room’, ‘Ames Room’, ‘Hologram Gallery’ and ‘Eyelusions Exhibition’. It’s a fascinating, fun and social excursion into the wonderful world of optical illusion, which will leave you quite literally, not believing your eyes! As the appeal of optical illusions crosses all age ranges the ‘World of Illusions’ is an ideal place to be enjoyed and experienced with friends or family however young and old. It’s generally the older generation of the family who are left surprised by how much they’ve enjoyed their visit!

Located at the head of the beautiful Salcombe Estuary in Kingsbridge, South Devon, Wills Marine is continually expanding its highly professional sales, engineering and operational services. Founded in 1963 by Francis Wills, and today headed by Martin Wills (Son of Francis), the company is looking forward to celebrating its 50th anniversary.
